When your SRAM service request is approved for return, our payment system will pre-authorize the full amount of the service, excluding return shipping. Pre-authorization is our payment system's way of ensuring that the necessary funds are available. It places a 'hold' on the funds until the service is complete and the final amount plus return shipping is authorized and charged.
A pre-authorization is not a completed transaction, but its amount will be reflected in your statement balance, appearing as 'pending' throughout the SRAM Service Direct process.
