At full charge and under normal use, an AXS derailleur battery will last different amounts of ride hours, depending on the component:
- Road derailleurs: 60 hours
- MTB derailleurs: 25 hours
- Dropper posts: 60 hours
- Suspension: 20-35 hours
When an AXS battery dies, the derailleur remains in the gear it was already in. Batteries are interchangeable between front and rear derailleurs to help you get home if you don’t have a spare battery.
