Chainring offset is the distance between the centerline of the chainring teeth and the mounting surface where
the ring attaches to the crank. If the offset is not printed on the chainring, you can measure it manually. Lay the
chainring on an even surface with the teeth facing up. Then measure the distance from this plane to the centerline of the teeth to determine the offset value.
Common offset values are 0mm, 3mm, and 6mm.
Ochain spiders are designed to match a 3mm offset. To achieve a 6mm or greater offset, use the appropriate
Chainline Adjust Kit.
