Contact point means the point in the lever's throw at which the brake begins to engage. If your brake has already been bled according to our bleed manual, there are a couple more things to try.
If the brake has a contact point adjustment dial, rotating that to the minimum setting would be the first thing to check: Reach and Contact Point Adjustment.
If, after the dial adjustment, the contact point is still too close to the bar, performing the Pad Advance Procedure would be the next thing to try. The steps for this procedure can be found here: Pad Advancement Procedure.
