XD SLIM is a shorter length version of the XD driver body standard that allows for wheels with wider hub flanges for better bracing angles, a more tunable wheel, and more symmetric spoke tensions. Configured with a 148mm OLD hub and rear end, it allows for improved heel and trailside clearance, as well as a compliance tuned rear triangle.
XD SLIM has the same length as HG SLIM, most hubs that are compatible with HG SLIM are likely able to be compatible with the XD SLIM diver body. Please consult your hub manufacturer for details and part numbers for a compatible XD SLIM driver body for your specific hub.
Please note, the standard XD XX DH cassette (XS-797) requires the standard XD driver body, and the XD SLIM version (XS-797S) requires the XD SLIM driver body. There is no cross compatibility between these
two standards.
